How to read the estimate

Runtime (hours) = capacity (Wh) × usable energy factor ÷ average load (W). At 1,000 Wh, 100 W and 85%, the illustrative estimate is 8.5 hours.

Actual runtime varies with inverter idle draw, temperature, battery condition, operating mode and a changing load. Motor startup can exceed running wattage. The calculation does not check surge or continuous output compatibility.

Before choosing backup power

  1. List your essential loads and measure representative energy use.
  2. Check continuous and startup requirements against the exact station manual.
  3. Plan charging opportunities and keep the required cables available.
